Happy Seed Sunday! This is our first seed Sunday, and there will be more to come. Each Sunday, we will feature a plant that you can grow from home. Also, all the plants can be grown in the soon to be released Mugwumps gardening box that is currently in development. Cherry Tomatoes can be grown indoors for the first couple of months, but once the weather is warm, they are best kept outside in the sun. #SeedSunday #Mugwumps #Tomatoes

Did you know about the partnership the Mugwumps have with rare? With each sold copy of the Mugwumps book, one dollar will be donated to the rare Charitable Research Reserve. For those wondering what rare is exactly, rare is an urban land trust and environmental institute in Waterloo Region/Wellington, with its first four locations protecting almost 1,000 acres of highly sensitive lands. Since inception, rare has taken care of the land on behalf of the community through the use of Western tools in conservation, research and education. Hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday The Mugwumps would like to share one of their favourite #gardeninghacks with all you garden enthusiasts. This #hack is related to compost and is so easy, and your little ones can help!... Compost is a great way to give your plants a boost of the nutrients and vitamins they need. Making your own compost is easy using your own food waste. Raw veggie scraps to coffee grinds, throw it all in a container. (keep away from where you eat as it may smell) Give it a good mix every few weeks and 12 months you should have yourself some compost for your garden.
