Municipal Animal Services have closed requests for adoption applications for Lance. He is a German Shepherd who is about a year old. He is friendly and has not shown aggression to people or other dogs. He does not walk well on a leash and needs more leash training. Lance is calm, smart, and sweet. We do not know how he is with cats but when seen through the cage he has not reacted. Lance should be ready to go to his new home soon. The dog adoption fee is $250.00 which includes neuter, vaccination, microchip and treatment against worms and fleas.

Update: Sansa and Cirilla are improving daily. They still have a long road ahead, but it is heartwarming to see them happy.

Municipal Animal Services at 2363 Theatre Road S. Cobourg, Ontario is now accepting adoption applications for Cirilla. She is a Shepherd mix who is about a year old. She is friendly and eager to please. Cirilla walks well on a leash. We do not know how she is with cats but when seen through the cage she has had mixed reactions. Sansa should be ready to go to her new home mid to late November. If you are interested please email [email protected] and request an adoption application. The dog adoption fee is $205.00.

Update: We have been calling the dog Indigo. Indy is feeling better and can now open her left eye. Her hair loss and facial swelling is due to a skin infection. More veterinary tests and treatment are scheduled. Despite her condition, she is full of love and energy.

INDIGO HAS BEEN ADOPTED. Municipal Animal Services at 2363 Theatre Road S. Cobourg, Ontario is happy to say that Indigo has been adopted. She is a LabXBoxer who is about a year old. She is friendly with people and the other dogs she has met. She walks well on a leash. Indigo is excitable and will nip when playing so she is not recommended to families with small children. We do not know how she is with cats but when seen through the cage she has not reacted. Indigo should be ready to go to her new home mid to late November.

Update: We named the girls Cirilla and Sansa. Their feet are feeling better and they are able to go on short walks. They have obviously never walked on a leash before but they are adjusting well. They are responding to the medications and baths but they still have a long way to go.

MISSING Missy is still missing. Almost 3 months now. 204 front street, Lakeport (Colborne) Hoping someone took her in or has seen her. She is very missed. She is 1 year old, female, fixed, completely grey, Russian Blue. Please call 905 213 2502 if you have any information.

They were found September 29, 2020 in the area of Beagle Club Road and County Road 9 in Alnwick/Haldimand Township near Roseneath. SUGAR HAS BEEN ADOPTED Sugar is a female Pug who is about 8 years old. She is sweet and affectionate and will follow close by your side. She walks well on a leash and enjoyed her baths. Sugar has had her initial vet visit and she is gaining weight and recovering from anemia caused by her flea infestation.

NUGGET HAS BEEN ADOPTED Nugget is a male Pug who is about 3 years old. He is full of energy and enjoys running in the outside play area. He walks well on a leash and enjoyed his baths. Nugget has had his initial vet visit and he is gaining weight and recovering from anemia caused by his flea infestation.

Update: Pumpkin is a female Golden Retriever who is about 8 years old. She is happy and enjoys her free time in the outdoor play area. She also walks very well on a leash. She seemed to really appreciate her baths and nail trim. Pumpkin has had her initial vet visit and she is gaining weight and recovering from anemia caused by her flea infestation. We still do not know when she will be ready for adoption as she cannot be spayed until she puts on enough weight. Before adoption, which we hope will be sometime in October, Pumpkin will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Acceptance of adoption applications are now closed.

BUCKEY HAS BEEN ADOPTED Buckey is a male Pug who is about 8 years old. He is deaf and can only see shadows, and he is sweet and affectionate. He walks well on a leash and accepts direction without complaint. Buckey has had two vet visit and he is gaining weight and recovering from anemia caused by his flea infestation.
