In response to the further restrictions outlined in the declaration of a second Provincial Emergency, the Municipality of Leamington will no longer be offering access to municipal services by appointment, effective Thursday, January 14, 2021. Municipal staff remain available to assist and service customers by electronic means. Customers can contact the Municipality by phone at 519-326-5761 or use the municipal website at leamington.ca to access municipal information and services. Phones and emails will continue to be answered during regular business hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday, and online service requests remain available at leamington.ca/reportanissue. The Ontario Government has declared a second provincial emergency in response to rising COVID-19 cases. Effective at 12:01 AM on Thursday, a stay-at-home order will require "everyone to remain at home with exceptions for essential purposes, such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services, for exercise or for essential work." Students in Windsor-Essex will not return to in-person instruction until February 10.
Residential Christmas tree collection will take place January 4 and 5. Please remove all decorations, tree skirts and plastic tree bags before placing curbside for collection.
