Renee Jagdeo is an alumna of the 2019-2020 Munk One Cohort, and is now running to be the youngest City Councillor in Toronto's history! Her platform includes expanding affordable housing, increasing COVID-19 protections for renters and businesses, and increasing green spaces in public areas in Ward 22 (Scarborough-Agincourt). One of these proposals even takes inspiration from her time in the Munk One Program! Read Renee's profile on blogTO to learn which proposal this was, and to hear what inspired Renee to run: https://www.blogto.com//19-year-old-running-youngest-city/

What is it like to take part in classes at the University of Toronto from your home in southern Brazil? How does it feel, as a student from Cameroon, to witness anti-Black racism in North America? Recently, Munk One Professor and Interim VP-International Dr. Joseph Wong hosted a podcast episode on the experiences of international students during the pandemic featuring two Munk One students & alumni - Ana Meleti (‘20) and Atharv Agrawal (‘19).
