Get involved in the 1000 Donors campaign to raise awareness of the need and blood and stem cells during this pandemic by sharing this pic/infographic, tagging your friends using the campaign hashtags and websites, and/or sign up to donate blood if you can! Hey everyone! Today is the launch of the 1000 Donors campaign to raise awareness of the need and blood and stem cells during this pandemic!... Objective To address the need for blood and stem cells, unite our community and provide clarification on the donor eligibility during this pandemic. During this pandemic, there has been a 15-20% drop in blood donations while the need is still strong. Purpose We are looking for people who would like to get involved in this initiative and those who have recently donated blood to be involved. The plan is to do a tag a friend approach (kind of like the ice bucket challenge). You can sign-up and book an appointment for blood donation or sign up to be a stem-cell donor. The blood clinic on Wicklow Street is still open and you can still make appointments!!! You also can help out by sharing our infographic and a picture of yourself with the slogan (follow instructions below) What to do Step 1) Fill out the form at http://bit.ly/1000Donors Step 2) Take a screenshot, photo, video. Here are some examples: a) Take a photo of yourself holding a sign with our slogan If you can’t be on the front lines, join Canada’s lifeline b) Share one of our infographics - http://bit.ly/1000Infographic c) Take a screenshot of your appointment/sign-up form d) Take a photo of you using our dedicated Instagram or Facebook filters e) Record a 10 second clip of yourself on who you are donating for Step 3) Share your post on social media.
