Today, we remember. At Muraflex, we remember too. By moving our new headquarters into a building that played a key role during the World Wars, we are protecting a piece of history. The building was founded in 1883 as a Canadian railway locomotive manufacturer by Montreal Locomotive Works (MLV). All plant facilities were converted to fabricate tanks, trucks and airplanes for the Commonwealth war effort during the war. Following World War II, MLV reverted to building locomotive...s till 1985 when the facility was defuncted. While conserving its foundation, we are transforming the space into a modern, hi-tech, and design-savvy 3-story headquarter. Aujourd'hui, nous nous souvenons. Chez Muraflex, nous nous souvenons aussi. En déplaçant notre nouveau siège social dans un bâtiment qui a joué un rôle clé pendant les guerres mondiales, nous protégeons un morceau d'histoire. Le bâtiment a été fondé en 1883 en tant que fabricant de locomotives de chemin de fer canadien par Montréal Locomotive Works (MLV). Toutes les installations de l'usine ont été converties pour fabriquer des chars, des camions et des avions pour l'effort de guerre du Commonwealth pendant la guerre. Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, MLV est revenu à la construction de locomotives jusqu'en 1985 lorsque l'installation a été abandonnée. Here at Muraflex we put the safety of our employees in first place. That's why we have created the Health and Safety Committee with 10 of our colleagues that volunteered to be First Responders in case of emergencies at the office. With the help of Sécurité incendie in Montreal we trained our employees, during the Fire Safety Orientation Session, how to react and help in case of a fire. Thank you to our volunteers! ... Chez Muraflex, nous mettons la sécurité de nos employés au premier plan. C'est pourquoi nous avons créé le comité de santé et de sécurité avec 10 de nos collègues qui se sont portés volontaires pour être les premiers intervenants en cas d'urgence au bureau. Avec l'aide de Securite incendie à Montréal, nous avons formé nos employés, lors de la séance d'orientation sur la sécurité incendie, comment réagir et aider en cas d'incendie.
