Summer is ending, the weather's cooling off, and people are starting to think about the holiday season! Looking for a small group activity? Looking for a unique and hand-crafted gift? Looking to learn something? Murgatroid has all three of those things in one handy package. Lean home pickling from our chef and owner, Caleb Cullen. You can see some of the techniques he uses for the very popular pickles that he uses in many of the dishes at the restaurant. Included in the price... of admission is a hands-on learning session with Caleb, a few yummy nibbles, and you can take home the pickles you make. Our cash bar of Ontario liquors will be open for anyone feeling a little festive! Please email us at [email protected] to reserve your group of 4-6. Total cost will be $50/person tax-in. Included are the hands-on session, some light nibbles, and your jar of pickles to take home at the end. Please reserve a few days ahead, and Caleb will let you know what local and fresh options you can choose from for your pickle party!

We started a new batch of radish pickles today! That means we have fresh radish greens in the store for a limited time, until they wilt. Radish greens are delicious but they do not keep well. So this week and possibly next we have a delicious radish greens salad with a creamy, spicy dressing, bacon, crispy potatoes and aged goat gouda. Also, we'll be making our Lady Macbeth sandwich with radish greens until we run out of them. So this is definitely the best time to try our Lady Macbeth; it's truly awesome with radish greens!
