Today is the day!! Murray’s stem cell transplant is happening today thanks to Cindy Soares!! She was able to donate double the amount needed yesterday! Talk about a family miracle! Big love and smooth transplant vibes today!!

Today we found out Cindy Soares and Murray are a 100% bone marrow match!! Here they are in 1960 something! Another reason to be grateful for siblings!!

Lukie became a first time blood donor today!! It was quick and easy will no issues! We will be making a standing date to donate blood. Did you know that men can donate every 2 months and women can donate every 3 months!! Let’s get donating people!!

Spent this morning donating blood for my Daddio! The staff at the Barrie donation clinic were efficient and so so wonderful! If you can get out to donate, please do!!

Good Morning! On behalf of my dad and the rest of our family, we wanted to thank everyone who has joined this group to keep up to date with Murray's journey th...rough acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). The out pour of love and support has been rather amazing. Thank you to all of you who have sent words of encouragement, prayers and lots of positive energy! It truly is so wonderful to have such an amazing support system in all of you! Last week I posted about my dad's ask to donate blood. This is an important component in his recovery. We received confirmations of blood donation appointments across all of our networks, and for that we are blown away! If you have not had the chance to book an appointment, please check out Canadian Blood Services to book an appointment https://www.blood.ca/en If you are not eligible to donate blood and would still like to support, Murray has asked that any donations be made out to Princess Margret Hospital in Toronto. The amazing staff have been so helpful in getting Murray started on his journey and for that we are forever grateful! Well today is a day we will always remember. Glen starts chemo treatment today. His diagnosis is AML - Acute Myeloid Leukemia. A type of cancer in which the bone marrow produces abnormal myloeblasts (a type of white blood cells). He will be on a course of chemo for 7 days which wipes everything out and then the body has to regenerate. It's going to be a tough go but he/we are up for the challenge. Lots of info and decisions to make. Last night's decision was which beverage with dinner - Red or White? Please reach out to Murray by text at 705 458 1830.
