Because of its versatility, the client can request anything from a subtle enhancement to a more dramatic look. Similarly, volume has the power to remedy common lash complaints like down-pointing, thin, and short lashes. We start with a thorough consultation to understand the client’s desired look, and review examples if they have them. Based on the goal-look, assessment of the client’s natural lashes, and most importantly, their overall facial features, we formulate a style. Styling and damage-free lashing requires a deep understanding of proportions, angles, and I use advanced techniques that only come with education and experience. ’ There are way too many photos of overdone volume lashes - whether they're: 1) too thick, 2) too messy, or 3) too long. These lashes stand out in a negative way because the lashes haven't been balanced against the natural facial features, creating an extreme look that is unflattering. + We do a thorough consultation and involve our clients in designing their look. In terms of styling, we follow guidelines that consider hair color, brows, eye shape, and lifestyle. We opened the doors to the new Muse and Maven studio just as COVID restrictions went into high gear, so we haven't been able to fully open the doors to everyone (yet). ?! (But seriously where do they go) I always keep a wand on hand because it is so important to brush those lashes if you want them to last! ... Why? Because every day, your lashes will accumulate oils, dust and other particles throughout your day and those things can cause your lashes to clump together and become unmanageable. TOP LASH BRUSHING TIPS: Brush them each morning after you wake up and after washing and drying. A few times a day is good! From the top or from the bottom - doesnt matter! From the top will organize the lashes. From the bottom fluffs em up. Remember that your lashes are sisters, theyre not twins! Brushing will help to shape them but your natural growth pattern and direction will dictate where they end up as you get closer to needing a fill. We do correct any grown-out lashes during a fill so its important to come regularly so keep lashes looking their best.

Keep your lashes looking fabulous during this time by:... 1 NOT PICKING: please do not try to remove them yourself as it may damage your natural lashes. Let them fall off naturally. 2PROPER CLEANING: Clean them properly, at least a few times a week with a foaming lash cleanser. Baby shampoo is not a good option as it is not meant for the very delicate eye area. A better option is a lash-specific cleanser as it is formulated for this very purpose and is safe to use around your eyes. If you need some lash shampoo, send me a message. 3TREATING THEM CAREFULLY: When cleaning your eye or face makeup be gentle with your lash extensions. Try to avoid baby wipes/makeup wipes/cotton pads when wiping any makeup off of your eyes. Also, avoiding cleansing oils, creams with oil etc. on your face will help them last longer too. 4DOWN TO THE LAST FEW: If you want to speed up the process of getting the last few stragglers off, use a spoolie with a tiny bit of oil on it and brush through. Any oil you have at home will do (coconut, olive, etc). No need to slather it on, just use a little bit at a time. Leave your best lash tips in the comments below!
