On June 20th, 2020 we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the release from confinement of the last internees under Canada’s First National Internment Operations. During Canada’s First National Internment operations of 1914-1920 thousands of men, women, and children were branded as enemy aliens. They were forced to do heavy labour, disenfranchised, and subjected to other state-sanctioned indignities. All of this happened not because of anything they had done wrong, but only because of where they had come from... who they were. Below is a plaque mounted on the exterior of MUM in 2014.

Support MUM with your accumulation of recyclable beverage containers! Sarcan is opening depots to the public on June 15. Use the code ‘mumyxe’ at any drop and go or tell the cashier upon cash out if you are inside, and they will take care getting the funds to us. ... Further directions are in the comments. Save the code for yourself for future use. Thank you for your continued support. * If you are unable to take your recycling to any of the depots, and you live in Saskatoon, please send a private message and pick up can be arranged.
