This photograph of Helen Mary Ireland and her new husband, Charles Clelland Caldwell, was taken #OTD in 1948 at their wedding reception at the Scottish Rite Club in Hamilton, Ontario. We're lucky to also have their wedding invitation, engagement announcement, and wedding description from a local newspaper in the Ireland House Museum #Collection! #BurlON

The village of Wellington Square used to be chock full of locust trees. This is where we get the #BurlON street name Locust Street, photographed here! If you'd like to see some fully grown examples, check out the locust trees still thriving on the St. Luke's Anglican Church property on nearby Ontario Street! #PhotographyFriday

This #TravelTuesday, we're checking out Beachy Head in East Sussex, England! This super photogenic chalk headland has been in several movies and television shows. Most famously, it was used as the hosting grounds for the Quidditch World Cup in the 2005 adaptation of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! The postcard was sent to Fanny Booth (nee Ireland) on May 30, 1917. Fanny grew up alongside her 11 siblings on the Ireland family homestead on Guelph Line, which still stands today! #FromTheArchives #BurlON
