Doug Jack brought Musical Memories to McBride On 1 Dec 2016 the audience was delighted in the McBride Roundhouse Theatre by pianist, singer, and storyteller Doug Jack. Doug traveled with his wife and stage producer Deanna Lynn as well as stage actor Odelia Krantz. to share their musical world. Doug welcomed local musician Caitlin Wai to open his show. He complimented her on her work and shared his own personal story of having the jitters when he first performed for his fell...ow high school classmates. Doug invited his audience to enjoy musical memories that had brightened their lives since the 1950s. With ease and talent he played melodies on his piano, guitar and mouth organ keeping his audience humming, clapping, tapping and nodding in appreciation. The songs evoked emotions of all kinds, from cheerful, to melancholy augmented by the special effects he used to enhance the feelings. Doug changed musical styles and genres like he changed hats throughout the performance. To the delight of the audience Odelia wowed the crowd by depicting some of the pieces with a dramatic performance. Folks laughed and clapped as she brought the spirit of Elvis back on stage. Doug plays and sings in styles loved and remembered. He is a fine instrumentalist and his voice is clear and full of energy. He plays as if it is the love of his life. After over two hours of singing and playing he seemed as ready to go as he was when he started. The audience was treated to a full evening of entertaining memories. Perhaps Doug will return to the Roundhouse Theatre to bring more musical memories to McBride in the near future.

Jack Grinhaus, the PRODUCING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR at THEATRE NORTHWEST here in PG is seriously considering our request that... if we sell out on any of the ODE TO WOODSTOCK shows....HE WILL DRESS UP IN BELLBOTTOM PANTS, TIE DYED TEE SHIRT, WEAR AN AFRO AND PASS OUT FREE FAKE DUBIES. THIS WE JUST HAVE TO SEE........PLEASE GET YOUR TICKETS EARLY!!!!
