Our Monday students loved participating in our Halloween contest! At their lesson this week, all students get a chance to guess how many gummy worms and candy corn pieces are in each jar. With all of the rain lately and the sudden drop in temperature today, here’s a throw back to one of our students enjoying the sunny warm weather during her lesson!

At Musical Discoveries Music Studio, we recognize that there are many different learning styles, and that children learn best when they are engaged and having fun! While technical work and physically playing the piano are important, we also love to incorporate different types of games into the lessons! With lessons starting back up next week, we are busy getting everything ready and can’t wait to see you!

After the crazy week I have had, I decided to share with you some of the things that I am extremely thankful and grateful for: -MY STUDIO FAMILIES!! YOU ROCK! -seeing the joys of delight on my students' faces... -seeing how well everyone adapted to the online experience -how flexible and patient you all are -how understanding you were as I struggled with intermittent and then total loss of internet for 4 days -getting paid -for understanding when I made mistakes -my students who "reminded" me, when I was ready to throw in the towel, that everything is hard when it is new (my own words coming back to haunt me, or help me, depending on how you look at it) -my very helpful Internet provider customer service tech -for the amazing Bell tech who showed up at my door and apologized -for the amazing online support from the My Music Staff technicians - and for the incredible support and resources made available from all of my music teacher colleagues It has been quite the week. As I work to catch up on emailing lesson notes, I want to thank each and everyone of you. I am particularly proud of how well all of my students adapted to a different way of learning. New skills were learned by all and shall continue to develop over the coming weeks. KEEP CALM & PLAY ON

So lovely that in this day and age technology allows us to continue to bring music to the lives of our students and families!!So looking forward to reconnecting with my students.

We are very excited about our Annual Charity Concert in support of Brant Food For Thought. They provide breakfast and snack programs throughout schools in Brant...ford. We will be joined with special guests from Theatre Hive and Musical Discoveries Music Studio. You will not want to miss it. Great music and a great cause. March 1, 3pm. St. Andrew's Church, Brantford.
