Music Express performs often in our Windsor/ Essex community and Summerfest at the River is one of our favourite venues. Special thanks to Breakaway Gaming Centre & Charitable Gaming Windsor for helping our group purchase new equipment so that our shows can always have the best sound!

Music Express' role has always been to assist charitable groups in raising funds for special causes. Music Express thanks Charitable Gaming Windsor & Breakaway Gaming Centre for their ongoing partnership and generosity, so that we can produce and support these worthwhile community events!

Every year, WCCB-Community Concert Band also known as Music Express features an average of 12 local school choirs in our annual musical celebration of this festive season called the Wonder of Christmas. This event showcases our local schools and also assists the needy in our communities. Sadly this year, due to Covid guidelines, we are not able to host this event. When we produce this show, we have important costs such as theatre rental and caretaking, sound equipment rentals... and music arrangements for the band and the schools. Music Express is very pleased to have the use of Bingo funds from Charitable Gaming Windsor & Breakaway Gaming Centre, as it would be very difficult to produce our Christmas shows without this money! We are very hopeful that this time next year, we will again be back at L'Essor welcoming the choirs with a wonderful seasonal show for our community!

One of our most popular selections from 2019's Concerts on the Avenue series was our Lion King medley, featuring Chief Musicians Rachel Sarracco and Shana Sullivan, and Musician 1st Class Danlie Cuenca. Let us know what YOU think!

Annually for 40 years, Music Express and up to 15 school choirs have been able to share the Christmas spirit with our community. This show encourages the choirs to showcase their talent and continue the arts at school. Music Express is very pleased to have the support of Charitable Gaming Windsor and Breakaway Gaming Centre to continue this great program!

We are holding a Euchre Tournament on Saturday, February 8th at the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 594 - 5030 Howard Avenue). Please see the attached flyer for information about prizes, tickets, and more. Come on out for a night of fun and games! We hope to see you there!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Our annual Christmas show: "The Wonder of Christmas" is quickly approaching! Our performances this year will again showcase children from schools throughout our community who will be performing a lineup of some of our best songs from over the years of our Wonder of Christmas shows. Shows will be held on Friday November 29th at 7pm, Saturday November 30th at 2:30pm & 7pm, and Sunday December 1st at 2:30pm at L'Essor High School. Ticket...s are available through our website musicexpress.ca. If you would like to purchase tickets, go to our website and click the "Buy Tickets" link. If you are buying tickets in connection with one of our participating schools, you have the option to select a school to support before checkout. If you are not buying tickets in connection with a school, you may select the "No School Affiliation" option. Early bird tickets are $13 for adults and $8 for students (13 and under). Early bird ticket sales end on November 24th at midnight. After this date, tickets will be $15 for adults and $10 for students (13 and under). Hope to see you there! See more
