Music Moves for Kids is accepting registration for fall classes. Classes begin September 23, 2019. https://www.musicmovesforkids.ca/ Music Moves for Kids provides a rich music environment for #children. Classes expose children to a wide repertoire of songs. Teachers model simple, creative movements and encourage children to move in a sustained, relaxed way. Class activities are orchestrated to create a playful environment where #music becomes the toy. Facilitating music interaction and building upon your child's natural responses are key components of our Music Moves for Kids classes. Correct responses are not required from the children. Instead, each child's uniqueness is valued. Any vocal or physical response the child makes becomes part of the activity and a springboard for creating a music dialogue.

A great article on why babies should be enrolled in early childhood music classes.
The importance of Early Childhood Music programs is far reaching and goes beyond the joy of experiencing music. This article emphasises the importance that music has on pre-schooler's linguistic skills. Children's music aptitude and the duration of their musical experience has been found to associate with reading skills, vocabulary and phonemic awareness (Anvari et al., 2002; Corrigall & Trainor, 2011; Forgeard et al., 2008). Forgeard et al. (2008) found a significant difference between children with and without musical training in non-verbal reasoning skills, as did Bergman-Nutley et al. (2018) in children and adolescents.
