ADOPTION UPDATE!! Here is a cute update from Ross, now Boots! "Ross (now Boots) has fit in just perfectly. It took him and Mylo about 6 hours to adjust to each other with some time together and separated, and that was it. Now they love to play and nap together. He has completed our fur family. ADOPTION UPDATE!! Here is a nice update from Rachel! "Rachel is doing great and she is settling in well. She is such a chirpy love bug and wants to be with you when you are going somewhere in the house. The kids and her get along great and she is so gentle with my children. UPDATE - FOUND SAFE!! - MAGNETAWAN / WHITESTONE LOST DOG - PLEASE SHARE Tundra is an intact male hound missing since Monday November 9, 2020 in the Magneta...wan / Whitestone area. His GPS collar last had him heading east from Harris Lake/South Magnetawan towards Dunchurch/Whitestone but his GPS battery has now died. He was spotted November 16th in a marsh on Shawanaga Lake Rd near Lorimer Lake Rd, Whitestone TWP. He was wearing an orange collar with his name and owner's phone number, and GPS collar. He’s been curious of our dog Chloe, and while the two are still warming up to one another, we can tell they’ll be friends in time!"

Meet Beans! Beans is a 2-month-old (born September 8, 2020) male, DSH, grey and white kitten. He is house-trained, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and will be neutered when old enough. He is part of MAR's Foster-to-Adopt program. Beans and his brother, Pickles were found outside when they were only a few days old. A caring lady scooped them up and brought them to one of MAR's wonderful bottle-feeding fosters.... These brothers are typical kittens - they play hard, sleep hard and eat hard! Both boys like to cuddle and have awesome little purrs :) We would love to see them go to a home together so preference will be given to applications for them together. Kylie is the grey one (she's actually a dilute torti, with some orange markings), and Hannah and Leah are both calicos. ADOPTION UPDATE!!! Here is an update from Andie (now Mylo!) "Andie (now Mylo) has settled in so nicely to his new home. He has put our 2 larger dogs in their place and they get along great. He loves his playtime and plays hard. He prefers to nap with someone if possible. Though all our rocking chairs are his favourite spot if someone isn’t available. He enjoys playing on my desk and tries to clean it off for me too. We all love him!"

ADOPTION UPDATE! Here's a cute update from Marmalade (now Nacho!) "Marmalade (now Nacho) has been doing extremely well! She is a sweet, curious, and playful little girl. She loves running around the living room or napping on the couch with our rescue pup, Luna. She has been spoiled rotten and is the perfect addition to our little family! Hard to pick one picture of her since my camera roll is already full after just 11 days!."

HAPPY ENDINGS! These are just a few of the hundreds of success stories, adoptions, and updates from rescues made by Muskoka Animal Rescue! Thank you to everyone who shared our posts, donated food/items/monetary help, assisted in transportation, gave a loving foster home, or supported us in anyway big or small! Your help and devotion gave these fur babies a second chance at life and helped them find their FOREVER HOMES! . . . Due to the nature of what we do and the fact that w...e do not want to ostracize our community members who surrendered their animals we will not be posting some of our successes, we want to remain an organization where people feel comfortable approaching us to surrender their companion animals because we understand that if they do not feel comfortable asking for our help they will go elsewhere or worse, have their animal euthanized. Even if we do not agree with how the animals were treated it gets us nowhere to burn bridges. Also, since the populations of the communities that we support are so small there is a great chance that one of our friends on Facebook will know some of the animals we post or the families where they come from :) That being said, we are never quiet when it comes to abuse and neglect, we will never stand by and let abuse and neglect occur, but we believe in utilizing the "right approach" when it comes to educating others or accepting surrendered animals. ADOPTION UPDATE! Here's an update from little Mango! "We absolutely love him! He is a doll. He loves to play and then cuddle just as much. He sleeps in between my husband and I at night. He loves to play with our older cat and she tolerates it, lol. We also catch her having fun with him. He’s eating well and loves little treats, but not wet food (yet anyway). He meows when he plays, it's adorable. He has little spirited moments where he runs all over the house and you can tell he’s having a blast! He can be quite spunky, lol. But when he wants to cuddle, he lets you know and he’s very happy to lay with you and loves kisses. He is getting more comfortable with the house now exploring all the rooms. We’re so happy he’s with us."

ADOPTION UPDATE! Here is a nice update from Marcella (now Bella) and her Almaguin rescue alumni Five (now Boe!) "Little Marcella, (now Bella) and her bestie Boe, have really made our lives more joyous. They're inseparable, yet still want individual cuddle time. She loves to be hugged and petted, and nudges your chin, and gives kisses. Although she likes her dry food, she goes nuts for the soft food, often times shoving Boe away from his bowl. She loves all her toys, and plays hard. She likes her naps, but seems to keep an eye on what's going on. They're fun to watch, and very affectionate. We love them, and are very lucky! Thank you! "

ADOPTION UPDATE! Graycie's new mom and dad had this update to share: "Things are going great with Holly, now Graycie! It's like she's always known her long lost brother Okeley. From day one they were as thick as thieves. They play all day long and even groom each other. We couldn't be happier they found each other!" Thank you for the update, and congrats Graycie!
