This week is national Down Syndrome Awareness week! Down Syndrome is a chromosomal condition (defined as defect but in my opinion people with Down Syndrome are not a defect) that affects intellect levels, and physical attibutes on the inside (like heart) and out (namely stature and facial features). #SeeTheAbility I have had the privilege of working with some very unique, charismatic, and amazing children with Down Syndrome. I recently learned last week on the 22nd was international stuttering awareness day... looked up this and found this helpful poster to share. I’ve known a couple people who stuttered... and for them it’s so hard to get their thoughts into words fluidly like most do. Respect them by being patient and silent.
