We're down at the Great Muskoka Paddling Experience helping crews get ready for their races. Come down to the Muskoka River in Bracebridge and watch over 120 paddlers compete. A little rain isn't going to slow these racers down!
We have 162 paddlers registered so it should be a great Muskoka Paddling Experience ! YEAH!!!!!!!!! A reminder to the paddlers who usually race sprint.... this ...is an OMCKRA sanctioned event and therefore marathon rules apply. Don't forget your safety equipment as per the race rules...pfd ( no inflatables allowed) , throw rope, bailer ( SUPS don't need a bailer) , whistle. Thanks. Registration for the 5, 10 and 20 km races are now closed. Remember to leave yourself time to get your bib and to sign your registration papers before the safety talk starts. Minors are reminded to get a parental signature. We are still open to another north canoe team getting together and challenging our one and only north canoe. ...contact us asap if you can get a team together to race this event. The Lions will have a hot breakfast and lunch available for purchase. They will have a good supply of veggie burgers, veggie sausages and veggie hotdogs included in their offerings. They will have their usual hearty breakfast and bbq lunch offerings plus hot coffee,/tea/ hot chocolate, cold drinks and snacks, including fruit. They will be serving breakfast starting at 7 which means they are there as of 5:30 am so they deserve our support !!!!!!!!!
