We save lives and prevent water-related injury through our training programs, Water Smart public education, drowning research, aquatic safety management and lifesaving sport. The Lifesaving Society Ontario Branch invites applications for the volunteer position Webinar Chair on Management Training Council. Job Description Purpose To provide leadership for the Lifesaving Society Ontario on webinar initiatives as they relate to Lifesaving Society related subjects. Term of Office Appointed by the Board of Directors to the Council of Officers for a term of two years. Reporting Relationship To the Board of Directors as required. To the Council of Officers as scheduled. Responsibilities 1. Establish annual objectives for the Chair’s portfolio. 2. Manage approved projects within pre-set budget limits and new product development guidelines. 3. Chair the portfolio’s committee including: Recruit committee members. Assign responsibilities. Recognize volunteer committee members. 4. Attend Management Training Council meetings as scheduled and the Annual General Meeting. 5. Report to Management Training Council as scheduled on the status of the portfolio’s annual objectives. 6. Prepare an annual report on the portfolio’s accomplishments. Skills and Experience: Possession of the following knowledge, skills and experience will enable the selected applicant to perform the major functions successfully. Familiarity using specific online meeting platforms such as Zoom, GoToWebinar. Up-to-date with current and trending issues in aquatics. Knowledge of Lifesaving Society services and programs. Aware of provincial, national and international standard setting organizations. Demonstrated strong leadership skills and collaborative work ethic. Experience with volunteer groups or associations would be an asset. See more
