Muskoka Rock Choir presents season 16 "In The Pursuit Of Happiness" starting up in Huntsville Tue Jan 14th and in Bracebridge Wed Jan 15th from 7-9pm. Come and join us for weekly rehearsals and elevate your level of joy by making new friends and being a part of something great. It is 14 weeks of singing and laughs that will start your new year off right. ... You don't need to read music or have great voice. You just need to love to sing. Dear Future Members: I hope that everyone has had a superb summer and enjoyed every drop of sunshine and rain that fell. MRC 15 is called Let It Be and is chocked full of new cool numbers and some old favourites. ... We will be having a pre-sign up and sing-along to ease the crush of registration on the first nights and this will be on Sunday Aug 25th from 1-3pm at Sutherland Hall at 30 High St., Huntsville. This season our first night of rehearsals are Tue Sep 10th in Huntsville and Wed Sep 11th in Bracebridge ,from 7-9pm. Our seasonal retreat is Sat Nov 16th from 10-4pm at Grandview Club Link. Our seasonal concerts are Thu Dec5 in Bracebridge and Fri Dec6 in Huntsville. We have procured the talents of keyboardist Jamie Hassard for our concerts and the repertoire leans towards his strengths. Frank is back as our rehearsal accompanist. We will feature both Sean and Mike singing a song off their new albums with us backing them up. All in all, a very exciting concert that will delight anyone lucky enough to get a ticket. A few changes this season:There will be no Original Artist CD’s’ there will only the Sectional Practice CD’s and they are $10. They will be available at pre-sign up and for the first few weeks of rehearsals. In God we Trust, Everyone else pays Cash...No Credit..haha There will only be ONE sectional rehearsal per voice this season and it will happen in during the first 5 weeks of rehearsals. Please check the rehearsal schedules. Listening to your practice CD before rehearsal each week will go a long way towards learning your part with confidence and being able to help strengthen those singing around you. Dear Members: I trust you are all enjoying the spectacular summer weather and are fit as fiddles from dodging the bugs. I know that is all the exercise I seem to be getting. We will be having our pre-season Sign up/Sing a long on this Sat in Huntsville and this Sunday in Bracebridge. Contact me for the details.... Huntsville starts Tue Sep 4 and Bracebridge on Wed Sep 5th. It’s a time to catch up and get your music early and avoid the line up on the first night. It is also a good time to bring any new recruits that may be lurking in the wings. Feel free to bring something for the pot luck table. This season is called Fly Like an Eagle and is a singers FEAST! I have pulled out all the stops (an organ expression) to bring you songs that will inspire you to free your ass and your minds and then we will hopefully bring it all together to make our best show yet.
