WELDING APPLIED CERTIFICATE - (Women get first seats, Indigenous Men get 2nd seats) Prince Albert & Saskatoon Polytech Campuses Starting April 12, 2021 ...- 33 WEEKS LONG You may be eligible for free tuition. Welders are in high demandin oil and gas, mining, manufacturing and construction. You need to be good with your hands and enjoy working with tools. You also need to be a problem-solver and a team player who’s able to follow instructions. The Welding Applied Certificate is a 20 week program offered at our Prince Albert or Saskatoon SASKPOLY campus, with an additional 5 weeks of career skills training and an 8-week work placement. Build your knowledge and skills in operating welding equipment and performing basic welding operations. You’ll get hands-on instruction in: general shop practice and shop safety oxy/acetylene fusion welding cutting processes gas metal arc welding shielded metal arc welding This program will give students the basic welding skills required to start a new career.
