We are working with the province to provide groceries to families who’s children are now home from school! We know that having kids home (eating all the snacks) can put an added pressure on your food supply. Reach out if you would like a little extra help to get you through!

Do to the recent rise in cases we are going to ask that everyone remember to wear a mask and keep social distance when picking up their veggies. Staying in your car would be appreciated when possible and we can put it in your trunk for you. Following Public Health's protocols keeps us all safe.

Dear Square Roots Bundle customers, We want to thank you all for supporting our project and allowing us to make a difference within our communities by combating food waste and food insecurity. In order to ensure that we can continue to make an impact and expand our reach to help more Canadians, we had to make some small changes to our project. ... Over the past 4 amazing years our prices remained the same, despite rising costs. To meet the breakeven and to be able to continue our services, especially during the crisis we’re facing today, our bundles will now have a base price $7.50. However, you can still purchase a $10.00 bundle if you choose to do so, and the $2.50 donation will go to the Community Manager to help them to provide your community with affordable and accessible produce. In other super exciting news, we’ve partnered with the delivery service OnDoor and we’ll be offering delivery for bundles starting September 19th! You can purchase a bundle for your location and pickup at the locations as usual, or for delivery, order through our website and select OnDoor Delivery if your delivery address qualifies. If you are in need and would like to apply for a free bundle, you can do so through this application form https://www.squarerootsfood.ca/bundle-service and if delivery is required you will only be responsible for the $1.99 fee. The Atlantic Gold Mine has made many generous donations to diff organizations within the community and Musq Valley Square Roots has been one of the organizations they have donated to not only once but twice. Because of their generousity Sarah Osborne and myself joined together with the Mine and a couple of our volunteers to talk about the Gold Mine's contributions and how they made square roots better for everyone through the pandemic. The interview/ Pics will be completed around Mid Oct and so we will post the link at that time.
