Life of an event planner - The Pilot Hey Queens and Kings, I realize that it has been a while since we have checked in and I am here to formally announce that, you are now stepping into a new era! See a few months ago, I came to the realization that, this social media monster implies a whole lot of things. I had started to believe that it wasn't for everyone, especially not for someone as introverted and reserved as me. Which is why, aside from continuously providing an excel...lent service to our customers, I have taken the time to train myself on how to stay connected with you, our supporters for whom I am oh so grateful for, while staying true to myself. I am now back on "beast mode" lol and let me tell you something...There will be a lot more sharing from now on! Being an event planner is much more than planning, coordinating, designing and producing events. It is meeting wonderful people every day, that teach you new things about life and even yourself, whether they are public figures, fellow event planners, entrepreneurs or customers. It is discovering new venues, vendors, services, even events and the people that are acting behind the scenes. For some, it is also juggling between your 9 to 5, your family, social and entrepreneur's life. While it all seems glamorous at first glance, it certainly has its ups, downs, good, bad and challenges but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Instead, I will be sharing it with you through #lifeofaneventplanner. Who am I? I am Vanessa Mercier but you can call me MV. I am a wife, a mother and stepmother to 4 boys, a fearless Queen and entrepreneur. Most of all, I am the CEO and Founder of MV Chic Events. My passions are, of course, event planning but also fashion, everything that has to do with designing as well as writing. As someone that has had to overcome many (emphasis on many) obstacles to become the woman that I am today, I am also dedicated to empowering woman all around me and exhibiting all the greatness that I am blessed to discover in my everyday life. We are looking for comedians, singers, poets, rappers with a Soulful style. If you think you have what it takes to wow a croud with your talent and you are ready to showcase your art, come and join us on July 12 at Cabaret C located at 1600 Robinson St. in Laval from 7pm to 9pm. We ask you to bring a hard copy version of your photo.
