Looking down. It was interesting to see the traverse continue on and the rock face give way to this opening. It was a perfect angle matching the slope on the other side of the path. So when we were below the traverse hiking up it all blended together. No wonder this cave was not discovered till 2008.

The approach hike. : @uplift_adventures (Heather Davis) When I first heard of this cave I originally thought it was called a completely different name and then through quick conversation over the intashizzle the name Booming Ice Cave was thrown out there. Little did I know what a crazy place this was. Plus, it is in the same area as all the summer stuff I was doing and it’s accessible for a day trip.
