D. ‘Imagine Van Gogh’! A generous donor has given MAC money so that MAC members can visit the ‘Imagine Van Gogh’ exhibition! This anonymous gift is a wonderful boost to our program and is deeply appreciated. I have started to book tickets, however there may be few tickets together; we will need to attend a few at a time. (To attend the Show, you will need to pay your MAC fees for the month you attend and the following month, for a total of $10.)

E. Reminder of ZOOM class May 14. Due to the renovations at ECHO this week, MAC can’t meet there as we usually do. There will be a Zoom class on Friday May 14 at 2pm ONLY, we will watch videos of painting horses! (No, not horses who paint,) F. MAC is open for 2 shifts on each MAC day!... Early 12 noon to 1:50 Late 2pm to 3:50 6 MAC members per shift, with sign-up required. We have just enough spaces for everyone to have five visits to MAC each month. For MAY, please book three visits to MAC at ECHO due to renovations at the Clubhouse. Sign up for as many extra Zoom classes as you want. Phone, email or text me to sign-up for a shift. There is one spot each shift reserved for Drop-in For each shift we are reserving 1 spot for Drop-in, you just have to call by 11am to claim a spot. Our goal is to have all 12 spots used each MAC day. There are generally more spots available on Tuesdays and Early shift has more openings than Late shift.

H. City of Burnaby grants MAC Six Thousand Dollars! We are thrilled to let you know that Burnaby has given MAC $6000 for running our program! We will use this money to help with art supplies, instructors, and shows (assuming we can have a show!). I. Vancouver Outsider Art Festival Cathy found this opportunity; applications are due by May 31.... ‘We are pleased to announce the Artist Call for visual and performing outsider artists to participate in the 2021 VOAF! At this time we are planning a hybrid festival to include both online and in-person events in October, anchored at The Roundhouse from October 15-17, 2021. NOTE: This year applications are open to all outsider artists 19 years or older living and working in the Metro Vancouver area. Applications for artists and performers are open through May 31. K. Zoom Call on Thursdays at 12:30pm! Join us for a chance to chat to MAC members, show your recent art, and to TALK ABOUT ART! I send out the link before each call, and you can ask me for a one-to-one test call to work out any glitches. IF I forget to send out the link, it is always the same Zoom link, so you can use the link from a prior week. For our Thursday Zoom calls, starting in May, you need to let me know if you want to participate by emailing, calling or tex...ting before 8pm Wednesday night.
