This week is National Eating Disorder Awareness week! NEDIC is a great resource for those with eating disorders looking for supports or loved ones needing some guidance and education. We are seeing the impact of the pandemic on people young and old with eating disorder referrals skyrocketing at publicly funded programs in Ontario. Look for signs and symptoms and access supports. Hugs to all struggling at this tough time. Keep fighting, you are worth it!... #eatingdisorderawarenessweek #eatingdisorderrecovery #accesssupports #anorexianervosarecovery #bulimiarecovery #youareworthit #recoveryispossible #pandemicimpacts #healthateverysize #eatingdisorders #stopweightstigma

Instead, show me how to take care of my body. With food and movement, rest and compassion. Show me that my body is worthy of all these things no matter it’s appearance. Teach me to ignore the lies that tell me a smaller size will be my key to happiness. Oh, and you don’t have to be perfect at this you know....we can practise together. #nevertoolatetostart #resolutions #bodycompassion #youarepowerfulintheirlives #kidsarelistening #thebodycompassionjournal #itcanbedifferent #bodypeace #healing #bodypositivity #positivebodyimageinspiration

This resolution may have been one you have set for the past year, two years, 5 years or 10 years, but it doesn't have to be... Rather than changing your body, some other options could be... To eat more mindfully To shift my relationship with food To talk more kindly to my body... To express daily gratitude towards my body To move my body in ways that are enjoyable To wear clothes that make me feel comfortable There are so many ways to improve your relationship with your body. If you are feeling stuck on how to start, check out The Body Compassion Journal www.mybodycompassion.ca #newyearsresolution #createnewpatterns #mentalhealthmatters #bodyacceptance #bodycompassion #mindfuleating #mindfulmovement #gratitude #talkkindlytoyourself #healthymind #healthateverysize #newgoals #dietsdontwork

If you relate to these, you are not alone. There are supports out there. Find resources at NEDIC in Canada and NEDA in US. Alot of people are struggling through this pandemic.
