We recently wrapped up another downtown Halifax home kitchen Reno. When we expanded the size of the kitchen we were able to keep the original beams. They are a nice juxtaposition to the new modern cabinetry. We just completed this new detached garage in downtown Halifax. The old garage was almost as old as the century home it belonged to. We kept the original style by using prepainted wood shingles and staying as close to the original design as possible with a few modern updates like an automatic garage door, new cement pad and outdoor lights. Our favourite piece is probably the customized vent. We didn’t want to compromise the style with a round plastic one so we custom made one that would blend in with the angle of the roof and the style of the vintage garage.
