POSITION OVERVIEW: The Account Executive is responsible for managing new business of clients while providing overall direction to the Account Manager. Account Executives are expert sellers and responsible for expanding business by quoting and writing new business (both in house and cold calls). RESPONSIBLITIES: Provide leads and quote new business Prospecting for new business (20K-100K) To lead, develop, and coach the Account Manager Developing knowledge of clients operations and risks (in order to supply proper coverages) Responsible to delegate and direct work to Account Manager to ensure timelines are being met and to review accuracy of documentation To foster and develop open two-way communication by conducting meaningful, informative and productive weekly or bi-weekly team meetings Introduce the service team to clients as their day to day point of contact to ensure smooth communication and services needs are being met Initiate Account Planning with Account Manager 120 days in advance of the renewal Set clear expectation for client and business partners by providing same day response time In collaboration with Account Manager, coordinate, support plans, discuss arising issues and create comprehensive plans for existing clients Ability to cross-sell opportunities when appropriate Supply Account Manager & Clients with account documentation (i.e., New Business Proposals, Renewals, cover notes, statement of values, insurance contracts, endorsements, cancellations, etc.) Actively develop an increased knowledge of related insurance products and client needs Participate in or conduct client meetings when necessary Participate in training and professional development courses to enhance skills and industry knowledge Maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience required Level II license required Solid understanding of policy wordings/coverages Ability to mentor others and proven negotiation skills Strong attention to detail, time management, problem solving and analytical skills Ability to be a self starter with strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word and EPIC Reference ID: AE-001 Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
