One side of the body typically has more hair on it than the other, or less depending on your perspective. Eyebrows are generally the same. When one eyebrow has more hair than the other, the goal is to make them twins by creating a symmetrical outline. First with a tinted wax pencil, then using a surgical marker. The wax pencil disappears as soon as you wipe off the numbing cream. However the purple dots from the surgical marker remain on during the procedure allowing the artist to match the brows more evenly and effectively. Don’t worry...those dots will be gone by the following day.

When a client comes in to have their eyebrows done, they sometimes don’t expect them to get as dark as they do within the first 24-36 hours after the session. They will get very dark before disappearing only to reappear with soft natural hair strokes.

Keep in mind * Don’t wax or pluck your brows before visiting the studio. It’s important for the artist to understand the shape your eyebrow hairs grow in, and it also gives them more to work with. * No alcohol 24 hours before and for about 48 hours post procedure, so don’t make any plans to celebration a night out. * Your brows won’t look natural at first. They will look greasy from being covered in grape seep or coconut oil and will become quite bold and dark before they hea...l completely. * They will itch a little during the healing process, DO NOT scratch or pick on the scabs! * You won’t be able to wear full makeup on your brows or forehead for about ten days to two weeks. * Using an ointment or cream that promotes quick healing such as polysporin will actually cause the pigment to fade and not return to the skin surface. * NO HEAVY SWEATING for the first seven days after the procedure. This means that the gym and hot yoga will have to wait. * Your brows will fade around the ten day mark. Don’t worry they will reappear around fourteen days in. * Always make your second appointment. Microblading is a manual method of tattooing. It is considered to be semi-permanent. It is done with a very fine blade (made from multiple needles in line working in unison as a blade) which is used to deposit pigment into the dermis. A touch up is usually required every 6 to 18 months depending on the clients age and skin type.
