**Diagnostic Imaging in Chiropractic Practice** Colleagues, as many of you already know, the CNAC is strong in our commitment to promoting the full scope of chiropractic practice, recognizing the uniqueness and diversity of our profession. Diagnostic imaging, including X-ray analysis, is a valid and important component of our scope of practice and proper evaluation of all relevant evidence should be considered before major scope of practice changes are made.... Our position regarding the use of radiographic evaluation in chiropractic practice is as follows: "The CNAC supports the use of diagnostic imaging by chiropractors and acknowledges radiographic analysis and evaluation as an important diagnostic tool. The CNAC recognizes the chiropractor’s formal education, including training in radiology and clinical expertise in making an informed recommendation for the inclusion and frequency of radiographic analysis or other diagnostic imaging, along with the patient’s history, physical examination, and available research, to determine a care plan that is in the best interest of the patient’s individual needs and clinical presentation. https://mycnac.ca/.../position.../diagnostic-imaging/ A more detailed position statement will follow in the coming weeks regarding this issue. In the meantime, legal action has begun in British Columbia in opposition to the changes recently made to X-ray utilization by CCBC. We urge chiropractors in British Columbia to continue to adhere to the policies and regulations set forth by their regulatory board, however we feel this issue transcends regulation and challenges the basic tenants of chiropractic education, expertise, and scope of practice. For these reasons, CNAC has agreed to support the legal action by chiropractors in British Columbia against the recent changes to X-ray utilization. The CNAC board has donated several thousand dollars towards this effort and encourages other concerned chiropractors to contribute to the cause. Donations to the legal fund can be made here: http://mycnac.ca/en/donate-to-cnac/ Thank you to everyone who has contributed your time, money, and resources to this effort. We will continue to strongly advocate for the full scope of chiropractic in Canada and appreciate the overwhelming support on this critically important issue.

ONTARIO DOCS...we need to share our voice. The CCO has sent out a proposed amendment to our advertising guidelines. I have attached the link in this post. Please read through to understand what approval of this amendment would mean in terms of what can and cannot be said. I have also attached the feedback form that needs to be submitted by OCTOBER 30th. Please take the five minutes to fill it out, this is not the time to hope that someone else will do it. Additional letters/emails outlining your thoughts regarding the guidelines would also be powerful. Be kind and always refer back to why this would not be in the public's best interest. https://www.cco.on.ca///4DraftStandardHealthCareClaims.pdf http://survey.constantcontact.com//a07eh9rjcixke8mrgux/a01

For anyone unfamiliar with this website, take a few minutes to check it out. Our support and dollars will help the HANS organization continue to be a voice for Canadians. Everyone should be able to choose who and what they use for their health care. This is a great link to share with your patients as well. https://www.hans.org/catego/college-of-chiropractors-of-bc/
