Erie Shores HealthCare, in partnership with the Spiritual Care Committee, is doing something different with its Annual Remembrance and Butterfly Release Memoria...l Service this year. Because of social distancing guidelines, the event will be shorter and uploaded to social media. Over the past 18 years, the event has included a memorial service, butterfly release, and a short reception for parents who have suffered the loss of a child at Erie Shores HealthCare. Normally, each family receives a dozen painted lady butterflies to release after a short eulogy, prayer, and musical interlude. As many as 80 people attend the ceremony each year. Thank you to Deacon John Vezina, Kristin Kennedy and the Spiritual Care Committee for making this happen.

Mother's Day weekend is traditionally a busy time at Erie Memorial Gardens, a time to honour your Mother and maybe place some flowers.
