To get your week off to a good start.... We are getting ready to take orders for our beautiful Early Red Haven Peaches!! We will have pricing and order information available in the next few days, as well as all the details for pick up. In the mean time, dream of all the amazing desserts, smoothies, canning and baking to do, and I’ll be posting a few of my own favourite peach recipes through the coming weeks. But really- a fresh peach off the tree is about as good as it gets

Whether using them for baking, or simply boiling and serving with fresh sourdough- aren’t farm eggs just the best?! Hoping everyone is celebrating this Canada Day well, with great local foods, family and fun!

My Garden We planted a variety of heirloom pumpkins this year. Some for carving, and others for baking pies and making savoury soups! It’s our first year planting pumpkins and there’s a lot to learn. But the anticipation alone is just delicious!!

My Blackberries We planted over 120 blackberry bushes this spring- and I’ll admit when I saw the little roots and bare stalks I was a little weary of how they’d grow. But with all the rain we’ve had these little bushes have become lush and leafy very quickly. It won’t be long before we have a jungle of beautiful berries!! My baking. It’s not quite Peach season yet in the Okanagan, but I was gifted a lovely basket of golden juicy peaches from the states. After watching the kids enjoy a couple, faces dripping in delight, I decided it was time to bake a beautiful Old Fashioned Peach Cake.
