Sally loves running through the trails in the woods. Sally loves her walks around the trees and streams.

It took a few days for Sally to settle in however she seemed to love her new back yard from the start. This video was Sally's first experience in her new back yard. Sally is a great dog, calm in nature and follows me around everywhere.

After a couple of months of working with Sally, many long walks, and putting Sally in real-life situations exposed to squirrels, other dogs, birds and rabbits, Sally has now learned not to bark and chase them. Sally now walks off-leash with me almost anywhere and hangs out on the front yard while other dogs walk by, usually without barking at them. Sally does growl under her breath a bit but that's a great compromise from where she started out with me. Sally has come a long way from being rescued from Istanbul, Turkey, all the way to Canada, with great thanks to Golden Rescue Canada.

A Golden Rescue Canada Story: I first met Sally in the last week of December 2019 at a a foster home in Newmarket, ON. I visited for a hour or so and took her for a walk into the woods up the street in a park. Sally was behaved well but chased squirrels and barked at other dogs. This was not a show-stopper for me because I have a strong history in training dogs. I made an appointment to return the following week to pick Sally up to take her to her new home with me. I took Sally on several long walks in the woods, trails and to the beach on Lake Ontario.
