We are in the season where our furnaces are kicking in, especially at night. This is a good time to change your furnace filter, making sure it is put in with the arrows pointing towards your furnace for proper airflow. During the heating season you should replace your Furnace filter once per month. This will keep the air in your house clean and cause less stress on your furnace from having to overwork to push air through a dirty furnace filter. Any questions or concerns please feel free to send me a message.

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house a cold draft was blowing, chilling each spouse. The stockings were hung from the chimney with care as they rustled with each breeze coming from there.... The children all nestled, huddled close for the heat wrapped up in blankets from their nose to their feet. And mamma in her 'kerchief and I in my cap, lay awake hearing the drip from the tap When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I saw through my window, an aluminum ladder. With boots up ascending, stepping on past the sound of a hammer came sudden and fast. The moon shining bright, displaying the scene showed black ice a'glisten and looking quite mean. Despite the conditions, he came, he was here our saviour, My Handyman, 'lo did appear! He slid back down the ladder, and knocked on our door as I ran from my bedroom onto the first floor. I stepped over tiles, with grout all a crackle, walking past, by the drywall that needed some spackle. "Whether its leaking, or chipping, or coming quite loose, no matter if crumbling or tearing or clogged beyond use. I'll come upon calling and do all that's needed to leave you a feeling of expectations exceeded" In a flurry of skill, through my home he did fly attacking task after task, wherever they lie. And with him he carried, wherever he flew, a belt full of tools and a pencil or two. With a wink of his eye and a turn of his wrench, he unclogged the drain and got rid of the stench. Then to the tap up above, with the drip I abhor he tinkered and tightened till the drop was no more. A pass by the kitchen did give me the scene of regrouted tile, all tidy and clean. And hinges on cupboards which squeaked upon use, he'd made them brand new despite years of abuse. Each task he did conquer, each job done complete with a genuine smile and a demeanor upbeat. Some sealant and foam was the last of his tricks as went away did the draft, for the chimney he did fix! In no time at all he was done in a snap as he left out the door with a tip of his cap. From his truck he did shout, 'ere he drove out of sight "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!" -Written specially for My Handyman Source by Teo Nakamura

It's that time of year again, clean out and empty you eavestrough. (Rain gutters) If you have trees around your house the leaves and such can plug them up with a lot of debris causing them to overflow the water and increasing the chances of getting the water to your foundation. Keeping them clean allows the water to flow away from your foundation.
