This week on #TheHoamePodcast we sit down with Raven of @moonmedicines to talk all about menstrual health and the mind-body connection! In a world where it’s so easy to disconnect from our inner selves, our bodies can speak what we need to hear and tell us what we need. Raven Rose is a menstrual health herbalist who helps women restore healthy cycles with herbal allies, traditional healing practices, and ancestral guidance. She works with the elements (earth, air, fire,... water) as a framework for often unspoken areas of feminine health, such as menstrual pain, pelvic congestion, and suppressed fertility. Listen to this episode to hear about the strength of the mind-body connection, the power of intuition, and how to better connect with your own body. Ways to be happily human:... Practice self compassion (speak and think kindly about yourself) Seek what brings you joy and spend time doing it Nourish your body Seek silence Breathe deeply Make room for relaxation and restoration Recognize that it’s unrealistic to feel positive all the time Embrace your mistakes and give yourself permission to make them Connect with others Give generously (time, love, energy) when you can See more

It’s here! Our first episode of #TheHoamePodcast is live! Did you know that eminent psychiatrist Carl JungCarl called tarot a 'doorway to our unconscious’? In this episode, Carolyn and Stephanie are joined by @CardsyB, expert Tarot reader and creator of the ‘Badass Bitches Tarot’ deck, to explore what the cards can bring to our life as part of one's approach to mindfulness; what to expect in a reading and how we can sharpen our intuition and connect with positive energy by learning to pull cards for ourselves. Cardsy B also provides an overview of what she is seeing in the cards for the start of 2021. Visit the link in our bio to listen on @ApplePodcasts or @SpotifyPodcasts! If you like our first episode, don’t forget to subscribe and where possible give share a rating or review.

Proof that not everything needs to be polished to be beautiful or worthy If you feel like you’re doing it ‘wrong’, your mind is wandering, or you haven’t been consistent with your practice, just keep going. What stands in the way becomes the way- Marcus Aurelius.

and *that’s* the wisdom we’re carrying into 2021 Dear 2020you gave us grief and stretched us to our limits but our resiliency meant that whatever unusual shape we needed to take on this year, we only bent, never broke. You taught us that we have the extraordinary capacity to bounce back from the unexpected. To be flexible, fluid, and free flowing, and to acknowledge that we’re always just doing our best. ... Resiliency doesn’t have a timeline, so if you’re still feeling a little twisted as we head into 2021, remember that this state is not permanent, and every moment (not just when the clock strikes midnight tonight) is your chance to begin again. Reflection: What from 2020 can you release? How were you resilient this year? Intention: How will you intentionally care for and continue to build your resilience? See more
