STORY TIME: our drummer recently bumps into a friend of the band at a local bar and begin to catch up over a beverage!! Our friend Steve tells Ang that he just got back from Jamaica and tells him that while he was there, he was enjoying some Rum at a bar off the resort. Like a gentleman that he is, he’s wearing a My Hollow t-shirt and while chatting, Steve gets confronted with a tap on the shoulder from a stranger who says, Holy S!&T man, My Hollow rocks, I listen to them ...all the time and they share a cheers!! We don’t know who the stranger is, but apparently had a thick American accent. This was a heart warming story for us and helps keep us motivated so thx to all who rock our gear or any local act because the support runs deeper and farther than we know!! Coming in with a heavy heart, My Hollow and Lenny (guitarist) have decided to part ways due to creative differences. We sincerely want to wish him all the best in any and all future endeavors and want to thank him for all of his time, effort and hard work with us over the years. My Hollow will be jumping in the studio to work on our next album and during that time we will be actively looking for a new member to fill this position. Oh what a night !! It was an absolute blast and success for #PeytonsJourney Fundraiser at The Rock Pile yester-eve!! It was a different feeling than most metal shows, what with pink and purple balloons everywhere, fully decorated bar, cake and candy, the vibe was positive and everyone knew they were there in support of Peyton, who made a very special appearance so HUGE shout out to her and the family!! Purple ribbons and Peyton’s Journey buttons were handed out at the... door and confidently represented on our chests throughout the night!! It’s honestly a fresh emotion when all spirits are in it for the cause! The bands KAP Thy Kingdom Slum AtriA Band and Visions Of a Vain World were super cool and awesome whom we would play with again for sure! It was some of the fastest times in between bands as well so great job guys and thx again!! MEGA THX again to all of our sponsors, the Rockpile and all staff, photographers, merch girls, media outlets, everyone who donated all of the magnificent gifts for raffle and everyone who selflessly gave up their time to put towards a meaningful cause! (Seriously too many to list)! Best of all, may all of the gratitude go to those who came to the show and supported, those who shared the posts, those who already donated on her GOFUNDME page etc.... by walking in the door, you donated and your sheer presence was moving...why?... it’s Canada day long weekend, there were other quality concerts going on and it was hot as heck out and we still had the fantastic turnout we did!!!! This is sparked by MY HOLLOW attending the Wacken Metal Battle Canada quarter finals last week at Hard Luck Bar and seeing the amazing talent representing this fine city of ours, the way soooo many bands have in the past!! Lutharö and Centuries of Decay have made it to the Semi Finals in Montreal and we wish them the greatest of luck as they hopefully make ...the Finals!! Astaroth Incarnate was in fine form that night, leaving it all out there as well but only 2 could make it on. We have played many shows with Lutharö and its a pleasure to see the way they have improved over the years and how far they have come!! Being in a band is a positive, continuous movement and being in a metal band is even more!! From her unique designs, we scan and use her images found on our vast amount of T-Shirts, all of the "Cold Dark Days" E.P artwork, ...our debut album "On Borrowed Time" artwork and all other various merch we have!! We are sincerly lucky to have her on our team, painting particular pieces for moods, songs, lyrics and albums! No generic designs here! LOCKDOWN FEST on Friday was Rockiiiinnnn!!!!! 3 stages and a ton of talent! Long overdue pic of the My Hollow team with the Devilz By Definition fam!! Awesome to see them in Toronto killin the Rockpile!! @Insurrection and Battlecross were absolutely fantastic!! Our Merch booth was gleaming with Canada Day pride and congrats to Shaun who WON our "150" raffle prize pack!!!! Thx to Steve Hoeg and The Rockpile as it's always a pleasure playing that venue and hangin with fun n familiar faces!!
