I got to know Cassie through text messages over a period of 4 months at the onset of the Covid pandemic. Thanks to a friendly referral, she and her husband blindly put their faith in me to help them find their forever home Long story short, their transaction went great: they bought a home in a frenzied market for under asking price - a feat few homebuyers at the time were accomplishing The cool part comes in now: the world is small ... Well into their home journey, at the inspection, Cassie and I discover that she and my husband both share a love for hockey and that Cassie's older brothers may have in fact played hockey with my husband OK, I can see that happening. Connection made, done. But wait. It gets better. Fast forward to hours after the inspection, when I’m relaxing at home and suddenly get an evening text from Cassie. My reaction to her text (and the attached photo) went something like: Wait, what... Is that my husband from twenty years ago standing beside a much younger Cassie...as her Pee Wee hockey coach!? And yes - in fact it was my husband standing beside a much younger Cassie as her Pee Wee hockey coach in the 90s. What are the chances! In a nutshell: Cassie is happy, so is her hubby and the world is a small place! Also: The sold picture for their house is not what we pictured when we took it, but it did give us a good laugh when I checked it later that night.
