The biggest threat to privacy while traveling comes from unsecured Wi-Fi networks in airports, hotels and restaurants. If any data you transmit from your lapto...p or phone is unencrypted, anyone else on the same network may be able to read it, even if the network has a password. A virtual private network (VPN) will encrypt all internet traffic between your laptop or smartphone, making sure that all your Wi-Fi data will be unreadable to snoopers on the same network. A few more privacy tips: 1) If you're uncomfortable with facial-recognition systems or body scanners at U.S. airport security checkpoints, you can opt out. 2) Turn off the Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth functions on your smartphone when you're not using them. Avast Threat Labs has found adware pre-installed on several hundred different Android device models and versions. A majority of these devices are not certified ...by Google. The adware, known as "Cosiloon", creates an overlay to display an ad over a webpage within the users’ browser and is difficult to remove as it is installed on the firmware level and uses strong obfuscation. Avast Mobile Security can detect and uninstall the payload, but it cannot acquire the permissions required to disable the dropper, so Google Play Protect has to do the heavy lifting. If your device is infected, it should automatically disable both the dropper and the payload. Get the full update here https://goo.gl/pQ3Gws
