Wear it ! Love it! Flaunt it ! I was born and brought up in Asia, now I live in Toronto. Traveler and curious by nature, I like to discover new cities and find my inspiration from those new cultures that I encounter. I love to experiment with new art forms since I was very young. My journey as a Jewelry Artist began on my 25th wedding anniversary, when I decided to give wire wrapped semi precious stone pendents to my friends. I discovered that wire wrapping came to me quite naturally. The response I got from my friends encouraged me to discover some more about this art form. I have been making jewelry on part time basis since last two years. Each completed piece urged me to extend my skills to the next level. For me its a learning journey and my full-time profession in a few years. I learned the basic techniques at the George Brown Jewelry School and courses offered by professional artists. I launched my brand "Affinity Art Studio" to share my little collections inspired by any thing of beauty that draws me, mostly floral. Stay tuned for my collections that are simple, feminine and delicate for the contemporary women out there. I mainly work with sterling silver, but I also like to use fine gems, real fresh water pearls and colored stones. My jewelry pieces are made by hand by myself only with some occasional outsourced pieces that I have found through authentic and reliable sources. My coming silk scarves collection will also be inspired by free hand drawn floral for today's professional women. Hope that you will enjoy these little treasures that may become yours.... Discover Your Unique Potential June 24, 2020 Lets take a break from constant stimulation. Too much information and use of technology makes us mindless and in a sense we become unconscious of our own existence. This seems to be a new kind of hypnosis. Mindlessness and lack of focus makes our lives chaotic and our identities anonymous. It’s a waste of human potential and our individuality is lost as the ability to focus is compromised. We lose connection with our own internal g...ravity, which should actually be anchoring us. Before it gets too late, we must realize how technology and excessive information is taking over our lives and our faculties. The ability to reach within and navigate with the help of our internal compass is becoming close to nil. Unless we consciously reduce technology time, we will not be able to relax and be mindful as we were in the past. It’s ironic, that what we believe relaxes us, actually serves quite the opposite purpose. Let us spend time with ourselves. Rekindle meaningful connections and make better use of our time. After all we have limited resources; limited energy and of course we know that time once expended cannot be brought back. Let us value ourselves, our time and discover our unique potential.
