IT BEGINS! TODAY is the start of my #SunriseChallenge and WE are 51% of the way to achieve my goal of fundraising $1,000! This morning I packed a coffee, blanket, smudge shell and my journal then headed to catch the sunrise at Ten Mile Point lookout in Sheguiandah; overlooking the North Channel! I enjoy rising early to listen to the music that the world has to play. This morning I was greeted by two beautiful loons singing the longest I’ve ever heard, cows mooing, wood pecke...r pecking, the wind chiming and this gorgeous sunrise! LOST in the clouds this one is a goodie for sure, my eyes exploded when I stepped outside blessed with this view. I was pouring coffee at the shop early one morning and this guy that knew I’m a sucker for sunrises told me to take a peak outside while he was leaving. So, I grabbed the cordless phone (knowing well it was too early for a mad rush in LC) a coffee and my cellphone to snap a picture. I’m so glad I have a corner of the internet to share the things that make me ...happy. Also super happy to now call that guy my partner in life. STORY TIME Pretty much every Saturday my partner Jessie & I make a trip to Kagawong for delicious Coffee and epic BLT’s. This weekend was a little more memorable. When we pulled up to the window at the best drive-thru on the island, they already had our order started! I’ve never felt more like a regular in my life! It made the trip even more special. Living on Manitoulin Island is something I cherish with all my heart. From the surreal nature, delicious local food, c...ulture and genuine people; this place is my favourite in the world. Visit Bridal Veil Falls (we often walk the trail to explore the falls - pictures are from top viewing platform) 2. Warm up at Sugar Bush Canadian Coffee House (I always get an Americano, Jessie gets a Devil in the Dark. We always grab butter tarts if they’re available - you’re not living if you pass them up) 3. Grab breakfast from Main Street Cafe (we always get their BLTs - they come on a toasted ciabatta with a delicious aioli mayo... I add cheese talk about deliciousness) 4. Relax by the shoreline (down by the Old Mill Heritage Centre or boat launch in summer) 5.
