Let’s talk about a topic a lot of people feel uncomfortable talking about: DIGESTION. When it’s working great, life is GOOD! And when it’s not, well you can feel bloated, gassy, sluggish, and just plain BLAH.... Lots of factors can affect your digestion including getting OLDER. Research shows that about 40% of older adults have at least one age-related digestive problem every year! That includes constipation reflux sensitivities to certain foods ulcers polyps and more. Plus, as we age it’s common for our digestive systems to slow down, which can exacerbate other problems! Here are some steps you can take to keep your digestive system happier, as well as some things you can ask your doctor about during your next visit. Get at least 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week. This can help with constipation and cut your risk of colon cancer. Make sure you get enough fiber by eating veggies, fruits, legumes, and whole grains as part of your everyday diet. These can keep you regular. If you’re taking meds (including blood pressure meds or over-the-counter NSAIDs) and are having digestive issues, talk to your doctor and/or pharmacist. Some BP meds are linked with constipation, while NSAIDs can cause ulcers. Maintain a healthy weight. This can help prevent health problems that crop up as we age, from high blood pressure to diabetes and heart disease. Fewer health issues generally mean fewer meds, which means fewer digestion-related side effects like constipation. Drink water. Slowed digestion can mean more water gets absorbed from food waste, leading to constipation. Pay attention to how you feel after eating. If you notice you feel bloated, gassy, or constipated, look for what foods might be triggering it. Ask your doc about it. I love this cauliflower pizza crust recipe not only because it’s delish but it’s so much easier than most of the others out there. It eliminates a messy step from earlier versions of this recipe, which required using cheesecloth or kitchen towels to help remove liquid from the cauliflower. This is a great way to lighten up pizza night and still feel satisfied! ... Tip: Try sauteing some onions, mushrooms, and peppers (and maybe some chicken sausage!) while the crust bakes and using that as your topper. Seriously yum. Cauliflower Pizza Crust (serves 4) 5 cups (about 1 head) of cauliflower, cut into florets 1 cups (170 grams) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided 2 large eggs, lightly beaten 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley tsp each dried oregano and kosher salt tsp garlic powder Preheat the oven to 425F/220C. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the cauliflower in a food processor and process until it’s finely chopped. Pour into a microwave-safe bowl and cover, and microwave on high for about 3-4 minutes, until it begins to soften. Remove from the microwave and let cool for a few minutes. Drain out the liquid. Stir in half of the mozzarella, both eggs, and the seasonings Spread the dough into a 12-inch (about 30 cm) circle. It should be about inch ( cm) thick. Place in the oven and bake until it’s brown and starting to get crisp on the edges, about 35-40 minutes. Take the crust from the oven and add your favorite pizza toppings (including the other half of the mozzarella). Place back into the oven and bake until the toppings are hot and melty, about 5-10 minutes. Enjoy!

Good day to all. I have long wanted to write in the chat, share the results of the course, but I could not get my hands on it. My name is Elena, I am from Moscow, I am 47 years old, married, 3 children. A year has passed (March 2020) since the beginning of the pandemic, since we left the city for our country home and there with the eldest daughter (13 years old) decided to take care of ourselves. The weight at this time was 64.8 kg.... We changed our diet a little and started doing regular exercises like Cindy Crawford etc. It took three months to lose 2 kg. And on the internet, I came across an advertisement for a webinar on the course "Flat Tummy", listened to Irina's webinar, and bought the course. I started studying at the end of June. I completed the course without delay for 5 weeks, kept a diary, and completed all the tasks. In parallel, I purchased other courses for the face and body, massage, and facial exercises. Some exercises, skills from these courses are also firmly embedded in my regime. From October to December 2020. I took the course "End Emotional Eating". This is something!!! The thinking changes, the perception of so many things, situations, people, etc. changes. To say that it was good, great nothing to say... In my head a lot of things change, I rewired my brain ... This is actually very Cool!!! As for my physical health and changes in my parameters, the weight since December last year is 55kg and does not change. The weight went away gradually, exactly where it was needed. My body and face look really fine, nothing is sagging. Every morning I do the exercises (45 minutes) recommended by Irina, drink water. 2 times a week I fully train: anti-gravity, stretching. It happens that I miss workouts, but morning workouts are enough to maintain my tone. I eat a variety of food, I eat much less sweet than before because I no longer crave sweets! In short, the conclusion: All This really works and still how!!! I am very glad that I was able to find My Own Person to get my healthy body. I have a breakfast recipe for you today that will make your taste buds do a dance. Normally when we think of oatmeal, we think of something sweet. But I’ve got a new savory (not sweet!) oatmeal recipe that’s packed with umami flavors. Which also makes it a great choice for an easy dinner!... Once you master the recipe, feel free to mix up the ingredients try different veggies, add a splash of tamari sauce or nutritional yeast in place of the cheese, and/or to go plant-based, just eliminate the egg and add more avocado. Yum! TIP: If you have an active morning ahead of you, this recipe will keep you feeling full for hours. Delicious Mediterranean Oatmeal Bowl (serves 1) 1 cup (240 ml) water cup (40 grams) rolled oats salt and pepper 2 tbsp crumbled goat cheese 1 tsp olive oil, divided cup (or a handful) of grape tomatoes, halved A handful or two of baby spinach leaves avocado, cut into chunks 1-2 tbsp roasted pumpkin seeds (optional) 1 large egg Bring water to boil over medium-high heat. Add oatmeal, reduce the heat a little and let it cook for about 5 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed. Turn off the heat and place the cooked oats into a serving bowl. Stir in cheese and add a pinch each of salt and pepper. Meanwhile, heat a nonstick pan with tsp of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the grape tomatoes and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until they start to soften. Stir in the spinach and cook another couple of minutes, until wilted. Spoon the tomato-spinach mixture over the oats. Top with avocado chunks and optional pumpkin seeds. Add the remaining 1/2 tsp of oil to the skillet and fry the egg. Cook until the whites are no longer translucent. Remove from the skillet and place on top of the oatmeal-veggie mixture. Enjoy! It’s a LOT easier than you think to reach your health and fitness goals

How would you describe your morning routine? Hectic, calm, nonexistent ? I’ve got a fun checklist for you this morning. It will help power-up your mornings and get your day off to a great start with an energy boost. The best part is, you can do everything on this list and not add any extra time to your routine!... In fact, everything on this list will make your existing routine more enjoyable. 1 - Wait 30 minutes before scrolling your phone. This sends a strong message to your subconscious. It tells it YOU are in charge of your day, and not your phone or what’s happening in the news or on social media. 2 - Splash your face (or entire body, via a shower) with cold water. Cold water can boost your energy. It results in dilating your blood vessels, increasing your heart rate and circulation. 3 - Drink water BEFORE caffeine. Your body has been without hydration all night long. Being even a little dehydrated (just 1-2%!) can sap your energy. Treat yourself to a big glass of water before you sip that coffee. 4 - Supercharge your water. Add 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and a dash of cinnamon, turmeric, and cayenne pepper to your water. This will start your day off with a healthy kick of antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and may help your body balance blood sugar. There’s even some evidence it can help with appetite control. 5 - Let the natural light shine in! Open up those curtains in the morning. This helps reset your body’s internal clock to wake up earlier, as well as naturally boost your energy. 6 - Listen to your favorite songs while you go through your morning routine. Studies show music can boost your mood as well as make you more alert! And it’s a lot more calming than a rundown of the latest news. 7 - Do something FUN. If you have a smart device like an Alexa, try playing question of the day while you go about your routine. It will give your brain a challenge first thing. 8 - Light a naturally scented candle or turn on a diffuser that contains energizing organic essential oils. Anything in the citrus or mint families can help rev you up. 9 - Change into real clothes if you work from home (and especially if you don’t ;-) ). Wearing pajamas all day is so 2020! 10 - BONUS TIP! Disclaimer: This one WILL add time to your daily routine, but not during your morning. Before you go to bed at night, do as many of your morning to-do’s as possible: pack your workout clothes, prep your breakfast, etc. I hope this list gave you a few ideas for changing up your morning routine to make it more energizing! You’ll be surprised how something that seems so small can change your day in a BIG way. If you are still celebrating and want a healthier alternative to your usual ale, stout or porter.You’re in luck check out this delicious healthy Shamrock Shake recipe, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day! 1 cup creamy oat milk 1-2 handful of baby spinach large frozen banana, sliced... tsp pure peppermint extract Sprinkle of cacao nibs OPTIONAL: 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder OPTIONAL: cup of Greek yogurt and/or 1 tbsp honey Pour the oat milk into a high-speed blender and add the spinach. Blitz until well combined and then add the banana, peppermint extract, and optional ingredients. Blend until smooth. Pour into a tall glass over ice, and sprinkle with the cacao nibs. Yum! See more

MARCH ACCOUNTABILITY ALERT! Just checking in with an update on my 2021 goals so far all in the name of TRANSPARENCY :) I had a shocker the other day when I realized we are almost a QUARTER of the way through 2021.... Which got me thinking about if I’d made an equal amount of progress toward my goals. I’ve been working toward having less stress in my. And I have! business (although it feels like it’s never been busier))) This is because I really focused and made sure to take daily actions even if they were just to do ONE LITTLE THING toward my goal (I meditate for just 5 minutes in the morning, exercise every day for 30 min^ take a 20-min break in the afternoon, go to bed before 10 pm). How to be lucky in life? I used to be a magnet for disasters. This is an ancient recipe that works wonders: Count your blessings. I'll start with myself:... 1. I am grateful that I learned to take care of myself first. The whole week I didn't have much time, and I managed to do everything! Every day I exercised, prayed, meditated, visualized, I drank enough water, ate good, tasty food, went to bed on time. And I am relatively sane as a result of taking good care of myself. 2. I am grateful to my husband for taking care of our family, for the support, for the jokes, for the compliments when I don't feel glamorous, plus he is a good dad))) 3. I am grateful that I held several successful webinars last week. I am so grateful for all my students. 4. I am grateful for the new launch of my favorite course (working with the body-mind connection, a course that changes the reality, and of course helps to lose weight (Hollywood Body Method). And I'm doing it in both English and Russian at the same time! 5. I am grateful for my health. 6. I am grateful that my loved ones are healthy. 7. I am grateful that I had time to take a walk and watch a movie with my husband. 8. I am grateful for the time spent with my daughter, doing homework, washing dishes together, playing the piano, watching a fun movie on Saturday, training together (although all the sports and leisure is closed). 9. I am grateful that at the end of October we still have raspberries in the garden, and when we come home from school with my daughter, we first go to eat fresh raspberries))). 10. #Teary post... This movie-star is my #mom. She would have been 69 years old last week. She died on my lap when she was 44. Because she was always putting herself last. At first she was winning the cancer game, when she was scared enough to take time for herself. As soon as she got busy and exhausted, cancer spread again.... If her self care would have been always priority #1 she would have seen her younger son grow, getting married, having two beautiful children, becoming a successful businessman. She would have met my husband and my daughter. She would have met her older son's wife and son... We all miss you! My daughter asks about her grandma a lot... this is a message I want her to get: "Your self care is #priority #1. Otherwise you are dead."

Stop relying on willpower to lose weight! If you fail to plan you plan to fail. It is true for every part of human life. To reach a goal, you need a plan. When you are building a house, you need a plan, when you are opening a business, you need a business plan, when you are entering university you need an educational and career plan. Same with healthy eating.... Because, if you are relying on your willpower to make healthy choices, planning your dinner after being at work for the whole day, making decisions, enduring everyday stress, like preparing your kids for school))) you are setting your self up for self sabotage. Because at the end of the day trying to make a decision about a healthy dinner becomes almost impossible. You are setting yourself up for failure. It is understood by scientists that human willpower has a battery that needs to be recharged. Willpower works well when a person is rested, in a good mood, and not hungry. Will power becomes depleted every time you are making a decision, every time you are using your brainpower for little things which happen every moment of normal human life. So it is obvious that after a day like that, even if you made a strong decision in the morning, that you will be having a healthy dinner you might end up ordering a pizza because it’s easier))). Having a detailed specific meal plan is essential for success. It will help you: Nourish your body in the right way to lose weight and gain health. Avoid binging on junk food. It will save you time. Clau also had a stomach reduction surgery, which helped her to lose some weight in the beginning, but the weight quickly came back after a tragic loss of her family member. Clau went through a very difficult time losing loved ones, having health issues... COVID wasn't helpful... But she didn't give up one day at a time))). We were on the phone remembering her journey. I almost forgot that I went to her place to help her get rid of the "junk" food. "That day something switched, I had I deep feeling that this time the weight loss will be permanent", commented Clau. I also remember how difficult it was for her even during visualizations to accept her body weight at 160 lbs (that is considered her ideal weight at 70 years old). So Clau visualized being at 200 lbs until she reached it. The next big step was to go lower than 200 lbs. Lo and behold, by being consistent in her food choices and healthier lifestyle Clau's body weight is at 181 lbs right now. Our goal is to help her lose her last 20 lbs during the Hollywood Body Method program. I am so excited that we are going to reach this milestone together! Just a few years ago my daily routine went something like this Wake up. Feel panic. Stare at my to-do list. Try to workout first thing in the morning. Can’t.... Go to Facebook. Feel guilty because I wasted time. Officially start the day. Go to work and run around all day. Try to workout in the evening. Can’t. End the day feeling guilty and embarrassed that I didn’t get my to-do’s done. Overeating at night. Lay in bed feeling fat, guilty, overwhelmed and anxious. Promise myself that tomorrow I’ll be more organized and focused. I lived like that for too long. Why? Because I didn’t know how to get started and what to focus on. It felt like everything needed to happen now, all at once otherwise I wouldn’t be successful. So I bounced from task to task, never really completing anything. Big mistake. Multi-tasking is a LIE.
