We at My MiningTee understand that things are hard these days. We believe that we should be spreading joy and good memories in order to get through these tough times together. We would like to invite anyone to send us their story. A miner, a trades person, their wives, kid's, uncles, aunts, mothers and so on, carry stories that should be shared. My life has been significantly impacted because I am a miner’s daughter; family days at the ...mine, running through the foam, waiting for my dad to bring me home some rock samples from work, playing with the other mining kids while our parents find themselves in someone’s garage. You grow up worrying about shaking ground, and knowing what it means when there’s a strike. But you also make so many memories; the same weekend every year, we round up the troops and head out onto the river. The miners, their partners, their kids, and a whole lot of snacks! Without the mine, those connections would have never been drawn, those people I hold so dearly wouldn’t be part of my life; I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
