Choices for Youth is offering a 3 week skills-building training program for youth ages 16-29 who are experiencing employment barriers and wish to explore opportunities in the retail and customer service sector. Skills training will cover topics such as Customer Service Training, WHMIS, Communication, Financial Literacy, POS practice, and more. If someone you know is interested in learning more about this opportunity or other supportive programs we offer, you'll want to attend this Open House! The next event is taking place on Tuesday, November 17th 2020 at our Social Enterprise Hub 117 Ropewalk Lane, St. John’s by appointment only. Pop Up Art Auction Announced! October 9-11 at your favourite thrift shop at 38 Pearson Street, St. John's. For the second year in a row, we're thrilled to host the NL Boards Art Auction. This is the one opportunity in 2020 to purchase skateboard decks from the program! All of the pieces for the silent auction are one-of-a-kind, designed and painted by local youth and guest artists. NL Boards is a social enterprise which empowers young artists to gain business skills through art. The program is presented in partnership with Choices for Youth and Youth Ventures Newfoundland and Labrador.
