The MyParkScotland office will be closed from midday on Friday 20 December to Monday 6 January. During this time you can still use the MyParkScotland site to explore parks and support the great projects who are fundraising through the site. Dreaming of a white Christmas...? Did you know that Kinneil House was once a gleaming white colour? Rare traces of its original 17th-Century lime harl coat can ...still be seen on many parts of the front of the building - see photo for example. The writer Maria Edgeworth described her arrival here ( see www.kinneil.org/ghost ) one night in June 1823: "At last we saw the door of the real house, an old but white-washed castle-mansion..." Just imagine how it must have looked!
