Relationship Revolution 21.06.2021

You have three seconds to make a decision - what would you do? Ok I realize with my emergency nursing background that this email title may seem a little "exciting" and you may have an expectation of an amazing ER story ... And not that it won't deliver a massive message, but the three seconds you have will not be a life or death decision - albeit, the significance of this decision may have a similar impact on the future of your relationships....Continue reading

Fridays! I love the promise a Friday holds What are you looking forward to the most?... The time away from work? The time connecting with friends/family? The alone time where no one can bother you for a few days? It will be different for every one of us Typically Fridays would have me excited to hang out with friends at the beach around a campfire and having a drink to unwind from the stressors of the week To have a laugh and be reminded of all the good things in my life Of course, COVID has other plans for us and Friday's don't have the same meaning anymore And working from home means I spend far too much time doing things for others than I do for myself And hanging out with friends over zoom is great - but it is not the same. This greatly impacts how I feel when Monday rolls around and - it always shows up, on time, never late, and erases all the joy from the weekend away If you are looking to find a little more peace in the workplace and life, join me for a free five-day experience https://www.relationshiprevolution.ca/peacefulworkplace4845

I have heard from you! The survey results and discovery calls post summit have shown me that the one thing you all want is a peaceful workplace ~ One where you can show up authentically and just "be yourself" without the fear of judgment... ~ One where you can work in a way that aligns with your core values and not put you in difficult places ~ A workplace where you belong and feel a part of the team = supported! I heard you. Our May challenge is going to help you do just that as we learn what it takes to create a more peaceful workplace, one where you can: -> Embrace and handle conflict with calmness and compassion to achieve closer connections without sacrificing who you are or ruining your reputation -> Learn how to create a positive workplace you enjoy going to (no more sitting in the car crying every morning!) -> Feel safer, sleep better, and have more energy for life - both inside & outside of work Registration is now open https://www.relationshiprevolution.ca/peacefulworkplace

Just the other day I found myself involved in a conversation that left me feeling defeated and rejected (and I had to look up the emotional wheel to name these feelings because I just could not figure it out) What I wanted to do was walk away, close the chapter, move on but that is not possible, So to dwell on this was only wasting energy and taking me away from improving the situation.... I just want things to go back to normal because I don't like the negative energy ... ... and I really hate the thought that my "best" advice and help may have caused more tension. Have you had this happen to you? Despite my good intentions, things have gone a little off track. Today a friend of mine came to me and shared some difficult news and I am holding space for her while she struggles through the emotional pain of distress and overwhelm. She made a decision that she now regrets and there is nothing she or I can do to change things. She is simply walking through her regrets and I am along for the ride. I was scooped up into the chaos because what affects her, affects me. But I am a helper by nature and I like to solve problems, and yet my "best answers" are not helping her. >> I want to give up (why bother ... she is not taking my advice!) >> I want to just say "figure it out" on your own >> I want her to see that my intentions were good but instead, she feels I have caused her more stress (it is true, I don't always get it right). It would be so easy to start to ignore her calls and pretend I don't see them. But that is only serving my discomfort and truly makes me feel worse. It reminds me that we all have work to do and can learn from new moments and challenges. It also shows me that my "best advice" is an old habit that creeps up when I am feeling unsure of what to do next. So instead of walking away or pretending, things are not broken, I am taking a page out of my own teachings today.
