I truly am grateful for this practice and the depths to which we dive to get to the truth of who we are at our core. Our Sat Nam... True Identity... But... In every yoga immersion there is one day that shakes you to your core and rips you apart and pieces you back together in a way that though you appear the same on the surface, you are fundamentally changed inside. This day often leaves one begging the question 'What the Fuck did I sign up for? And why the Fuck would I put m...yself through this... on purpose!?' The thing is, you never know when that day is going to be. Sometimes it's day 1, other times it's somewhere more in the middle. For me, this time around, that day was today. Working through shadow and light, diving in and stripping away layers of false belief systems and patterns that have been such a huge part of my life. Trying to be compassionate and find gratitude for the purpose they served and gracefully let them go... While really just wanting to say 'Fuck You!'... Not very graceful, but that's part of my shadow so deal with it. I am so tired, everything hurts and all I want is to be cuddled and kept safe. Is that too much to ask? I recognize that these days and the destruction and 'peeling' that we do it for the greatest good for the higher self... But ugh.. Does it actually have to leave me feeling peeled? Hope no one confuses me for a grape, I don't think I would taste very good in my current state... #perfectlyimperfect #kundalinilife #yogimama #SoFingZen
