Looking for work? Like doing Art? I won’t be teaching any children’s art camps at the Shenkman centre this summer since I now have a full-time job with the Bookmobile. If any of you are looking for some fun work in the summertime teaching art in Orleans at the Shenkman centre, feel free to contact me and I’ll put you in touch with the right people. You can generally pick the age group, the language you want to teach in, and you get to design all your projects yourself. Y...ou can also choose the weeks you want to work so it’s very flexible if you want to take summer holidays. You’ll have to get a police record check for working with the vulnerable sector and you’ll need some sort of experience teaching or working with children and a knack for teaching arts & crafts programs to a group of 8 to 12 students. 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday, and it pays just over $1000 per week. One of my drawing students made this AMAZING giant sized self-portait as our class project today. She did a wicked job with the chalk pastels and this portrait truly resembles her! She is also one of the youngest in the class! What a talent!
