I started dabbling in Flash in the mid 90’s for real estate and vacation websites like mls.ca and for independent films, then went in to use it in software I developed for Shaw Cable. The last site I updated Flash for was my own ExtremeGeeks.com in 2000 when I decided not to do website development anymore. It was to add links to photos of our wedding and honeymoon which on that epic 3 month trip with Michelle Wells I realized I didn’t like computers and needed to change my career (spoiler alert - it didn’t quite happen as I imagined). RIP FLASH

For the first time in 15 years My Tech Guys was not able to host a Christmas Party for our staff and their spouses. Instead we took our budget and showed our appreciation by getting local gift cards for them instead so we could also support local businesses. This year was difficult for many of businesses but we need to show our support any way we can make sure they are there after the pandemic. #shoplocal #SupportSmallBusiness #comoxvalley #courtenay #comox #cumberland

BC Hydro says many have confused the need to prepare for the isolation due to COVID-19 restrictions with the separate need to prepare for extended winter power outages that could leave them without heat, light or the ability to cook food and keep it from rotting.

This year the Ceremony will be a small one. There is no Marching Parade and spectators are discouraged due to the current COVID restrictions by Provincial and Local Health Authorities. Ceremony will include the Act of Remembrance, Last Post and Rouse by our bugler and the Lament by our Piper. Colour Party will be depositing the Colours. Wreaths will be laid by Federal, Provincial, and Local government representatives only. All other wreaths will have been pre-placed and acknowledged on our website www.courtenaylegion.ca . Anyone wishing to personally place a wreath are asked to do so after the Ceremony. CFB Comox flyby will be dependent on weather conditions. We will be streaming Facebook Live starting at 10:45am
