I made a beef patty pie. Saw a recipe for beef patties and wanted to make them but I recently had surgery on my wrist. Instead of stressing my wrist completely with many little crusts, I just made it into one. The yellow pastry just screamed yellow flower top, so that is what it got.

I don't have my book yet, I didn't get the mango gel correct so we had it on the side. So good! Mac and cheese pie using Chef Calum Franklin's recipe from his upcoming book The Pie Room. Now, when I was making the mac and cheese filling my roommate asked if the little bit leftover could he give to the dogs. I told him to try it first. Let's just say that the dogs didn't get any. Lol If you don't like mac and cheese...so sad, too bad! The short crust is buttery and crisp against the richness of the cheese. I say, awesome recipe!
