The old kitchen was busy and had a lot going on. We wanted the new kitchen to have a much "lighter" feel and vibe and we feel we have done that.

It's OK to feel blue going into the New Year with your new kitchen , especially if you have your own island .

It was a bright and early morning loading up the truck with a custom vanity and lights from Lighting Innovation + Design Inc. I am exited to see this job all come together!

Haven't posted in a while, but now things are really starting to heat in the very best possible way. It's amazing what can happen when you leave yourself open to partnering with the best suppliers and installers in the industry. Dreams really do come true!!! It's a New Year and it's time to come clean.

Happy New Year! Time to get organized. Everyone has their own cubby, a spot for their coats, and even the shoes have a home. Oh and did I mention , even the dog has a spot to sleep right below the shoes.... it's a dog life for sure:) Let us help YOU get organized this year.

Bar area on a round wall for this New Year's celebration? Yes, eat in your new built in table area, drink in the bar area and relax! The renos are done!

The client was looking for a new kitchen. I asked like I always do how often they use their " formal dining room". They said well, you know once a year for Christmas..... Well this Christmas they can entertain a WHOLE whack of people as their big table now fits on one end and they also have island seating. And the other 364 days of the year? Yeah, they gained a whole whack of functional and usable space and are able to entertain with family and friends in a way they never thought was possible.

Tear down those walls is something you hear me say a lot and bless you , you understand why. You will also hear me tell you to incorporate open shelving. This give a light and airy feeling to the space. This is why it becomes the #1 feature that helps sell a home fast.

With the kitchen being the new living room, the work triangle has been gone for awhile now and designers are creating "zones". Also more than one cook is involved in preparing meals. The zones that designers incorporate into every design are Consumables, Non Consumables, Cleaning, Preparation and Cooking. The newest zone in the past couple of years that needs to be incorporated into clients kitchens is the Beverage station...we need to stay hydrated and caffeinated:)
